We believe the stories of young builders deserve the same editorial weight and design quality as the publications that have historically overlooked them. Every feature, article, and podcast episode is built to reflect the seriousness of what these young people are doing.

Founder's Note
Growing up in Detroit, I saw extraordinary young people doing extraordinary things with no spotlight on them. No platform treating their work with the weight it deserved. I started A Near Future to change that.
This isn't a side project. This is a publication. And we're going to build it the same way we ask the people we feature to build - with intention, with patience, and with a near future in mind.
Every story we tell is a story that deserves to be told. Every person we feature is someone who earned it. That standard doesn't change.

The nonprofit arm of A Near Future supports young builders directly - through grants, mentorship programming, and educational resources designed to remove the barriers between young people and their near futures.
We partner with Detroit-area organizations, businesses, and foundations to connect emerging leaders with the tools, networks, and funding they need to go from idea to impact.
