91.9%

Of creators now use at least one AI tool in their workflow

The creator economy has gone almost fully AI. A 2026 creator survey found that 91.9 percent of creators now use at least one AI tool in their workflow, leaning on it to write, edit, plan, and produce faster than ever. The machines are in the studio now, for nearly everyone.

But here is the twist. As AI makes output cheap and infinite, the scarce thing flips. When anyone can generate a clean video or a polished caption in seconds, a real human point of view, taste, and voice become the premium. The tool raises the floor for everyone and quietly raises the value of everything a tool cannot fake.

"When everyone can make more, the rare thing is being someone worth listening to."

This lines up with where the money is already going. The creator economy is projected to grow past 800 billion dollars in the years ahead, but the winners are shifting from raw reach to owned, recurring businesses built on trust. Creators are moving audiences off the algorithm and onto newsletters and communities they control, because a real relationship is the one thing AI cannot mass-produce.

So the lesson for a young creator is not to fear the tools or to lean on them entirely. Use AI to move faster, then spend the time it saves on the human part: the perspective, the community, the reason someone follows you instead of a feed of infinite content.

This is the craft ANF keeps pointing to. Not chasing virality, and not outsourcing your voice to a machine. Use the tools, then build the human thing on top, because that is the part that lasts and the part that pays.

The robots can make the content. They cannot be the person people trust.
